Rotating the Supply
It is always a little tricky to keep the food rotated properly. My favorite way to rotate is to have things split up in 3-4 different places and use the supply in one location at a time. This means 4 sets of shelves, or four different rooms, under 4 pieces of furniture, or in three boxes and sets of buckets while ¼ is out where you can get to it easily.
I like four locations because that gives me one extra to be restocking while I am using the others so that I always have three months ahead. (This means having 120 days supplied.)
*The trick to this is to make sure you and your family only take items from the space you are currently using and you are restocking the last one you emptied. You should make sure that you clear the last space before you move to the next one. If you are eating the meals in order, that shouldn’t be a problem.
I keep extra items in buckets or a box that I can just move to the next space if I need to. Or I keep them in a completely separate place.
